It is November and we had our first freeze. Time really flies when we are tied down by the Covid 19. As I wrote before we are still putting names of our beloved dead by the altar for the month of November in honor of All Souls Day, November 2, Dia de los Muertos.
As I'm sure you have heard the Indiana Bishops have extended the dispensation for Sunday Mass until further notice. Since the virus is worse now than ever before and is especially strong in our area, this is a decision for our safety. Never the less we will continue to have our usual Sunday Masses at 8:15 and 10:30 AM with masks and spacing.
I'm sure you saw the letter from the Health Department asking all houses of worship to close in person worship until March 2021 here in St. Joe County. I hope you saw the Bishop's response. His press secretary thanked the Health Department for their work around the virus but said the Catholic Churches in the area would remain open for Mass and other sacraments, while continuing the safety measures we have in place, masks, social distancing and cleaning.
It is hard to believe it is already October, but I guess the drop in temperature proves it. I have had to change the a/c at church to heat, so if you come to church you will be warm.
